Why would there be etal flakes in the engine oil removed from my 2010 Ford focus

I just changed the oil in my 2010 Ford Focus. In the oil drain pan, I noticed some sparkles and Tiny metal flakes. The car has just hit 160k miles. The only issue I’ve come across recently is it will have a delayed or Ruff start far and few between start-ups.
