Hi,
We are close to purchasing a new travel trailer, whose curb weight is approximately 4,200. Although the Jeep’s listed towing capacity is 6,200 lbs, I am concerned that the expected loaded weight of the car and trailer will exceed the car’s GCWR. Despite searching multiple websites, Jeep owners’ blogs, and forums, and trying 3 local Jeep dealerships I cannot find what the number is. As we are retiring this will be “the one and only” purchase. I don’t want to find out we’ve purchased a trailer that will damage a great car.
